Minister for Drugs Policy Angela Constance has invoked Powers of Direction available to Scottish ministers under the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 to give a Ministerial Direction that will compel Integration Authorities, Local Authorities and Health Boards to implement the MAT Standards.

This new website will serve as a national resource for information and resources on medication assisted treatment (MAT); Scotland’s MAT Standards and the implementation of MAT Standards across Scotland.

Two new resources have been developed in response to requests for information for people working in treatment services and people who are involved in Alcohol and Drug Partnerships, Joint Boards and other planning and commissioning structures who have no treatment background.
